SOMETIMES IT TAKES QUANTUM FAITH

In the bible we see some amazing events after Jesus resurrection from the grave.

He walks through walls, He defies death and the grave and one of the coolest events I would like to experience was what is called the ascension  – Jesus did some amazing things that the laws of nature could not stop.

In this series we are looking at some of the things that hold us back, knock us down and push us to the breaking point.

But with God’s help and some “quantum faith” we will see the super natural take us beyond the natural –

Lovin it

EASTER 2011

Jesus claimed to be God. ..Wow, those are some BIG shoes to fill.

What is it like to walk in Jesus shoes? (The God-man shoes)

This Sunday we share an  Easter message about God’s irrational, inexplicable love for misfits, how the most irresistible Message in the world can be eclipsed and His unending, unfathomable kindness in our repeated failures.

Cannot wait to celebrate this Easter this Sunday.

PALM SUNDAY

One of my most favorite times of the year is Palm Sunday.

I love the feeling of celebration and anticipation of some thing new just around the corner.

I love the sense in my spirit of new life and new beginnings.

I love the way families get together and come to worship in a church with other believers.

I love the history and tradition of a day of worship that speaks so powerfully of a loving, involved Heavenly Father in our everyday lives.

I love the way Palm Sunday helps me realize I am living in the here and now but someday I will experience the then and there ….Yes, the drumbeat of eternity become more real, more amplified more visual to me on Palm Sunday.

I love the way Palm Sunday sets me up in preparation for that epic day half the world celebrates – Yes, Easter means eternal life is possible, reachable and the gates of new life are actually mine to enjoy.

I love Palm Sunday – get up get out to a worship center somewhere and love it for yourself tomorrow.

SHOES

Really looking forward to starting a new series of messages this weekend called Shoes.

Have you ever heard the phrase “walk a mile in my shoes”?

God, in Christ, stepped into our shoes and walked. But are we willing to do the same for people who aren’t like us, and who may not believe the same things we believe? Christians can struggle with being judgmental, until they walk in someone else’s shoes.

Well for the next few  Sunday’s up through Easter we are going to look at what it feels like to walk in someone else’s shoes for a change.

The Domino Effect part 5

Really looking forward to teaching this 5th message in our series the Domino Effect this Sunday.

Does where we live effects how we live?

According to Acts 17, you betcha!“From one man he made every nation of men, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and he determined the times set for them and the exact places where they should live. 27 God did this so that men would seek him.”  Acts 17:26,27

THE DOMINO EFFECT SERIES

We are still in our series called the Domino Effect – This Sunday we are looking at the power of your shadow.

Really looking forward to exploring how our influence impacts people our entire lives and beyond.
I am looking at Acts 5:13-15 that talks about the time when people would bring their friends and family and lay them along the street so that “at least” Peter’s shadow might fall on some of them.
The passage goes onto say that everyone was healed.
It is also said that in India people would try to position themselves in a way that Mahatma Gandi would pass over them….ummm?

Wow, to be able to help people at that level would be unimaginable.

Here are my thought points I am developing.

1. OUR INFLUENCE IS ALWAYS ACTIVE.

2. OUR INFLUENCE IS MOSTLY UNCONSCIOUS

3. OUR INFLUENCE LIVES BEYOND US

4. OUR INFLUENCE IS IRREVOCABLE.
Phillip Brooks says; “no man or woman of the humblest sort can really be strong, gentle, pure and good, without the world being better for it.”

“I have a little shadow that goes in and out with me, And what can be the use of him is more than I can see.” – anonymous
If you think you’re too small to make a difference? Think again. Just try to sleep in a room with just one mosquito.

Really looking forward to this teaching.

THE DOMINO EFFECT

Looking forward to continuing our series tomorrow at Prescott First Assembly.

We are in part four of the series The Domino Effect and this Sunday we are looking at how to dismantle the logjams in our lives that keep us from God’s best.

The Domino Effect part 2 – Sticks and Stones

“Sticks and stones may break my bones, but names will never hurt me.” – Ummmmm really?

Words are powerful things. They either build up or tear down, add to or take from.

This Sunday we continue our series The Domino Effect with a message called Sticks and Stones.

Do our verbal accent reflect a dialect to builds others up or do the words we use inflict pain and discouragement?

We will never lift ourselves UP, by putting someone else DOWN!

Really looking forward to sharing the GOOD Word this weekend.

The Domino Effect

Looking forward to our new series this Sunday.

Dominos teach us science, about processes, sequences, and the way things work.

What domino effect is working in your life right now?

Is it knocking you down or pulling you up.

See you Sunday @ 10:00 AM
